Actress sued for GHc1 million for fraud and defamation

Kiki Banson is suing Afia Schwarzenegger for defamation and is seeking Ghc 1m in damages.

A few hours after reports emerged that Afia Schwarzenegger is suing the Nima Police and Multimedia Group for defamation over reports she was arrested last week in relation to fraud, the event has completely turned around.

This time around, artiste and events manager, Kiki Banson is suing Afia Schwarzenegger for defamation and is seeking Ghc 1m in damages.

Afia is being accused of fraudulently retrieving GHc10,000 from Kiki which was part of sponsorship deal from End Point Clinic for last year’s edition of Girl Talk which is organised by Palm Media. Asia was contracted to perform at the event.

According to the writ obtained by Ghanacelebrities.com, the court is being begged to rule that Afia has defamed Kiki and Palm Media, for her to retract her defamatory statements and not make anymore in the future, and for damages of Ghc 1m to be awarded to the plaintiffs.
